Apex Research facility is equipped with on-site sophisticated equipment and diagnostic services, including:

Apex also has access to the following services within a short distance of the office:

Information systems include web based Study Manager Database and internet access. Internal communication in the office and between the Santa Ana office utilizes a web based communication tool.

Demographics

The center has begun it’s own database over the past two years which now contains over 1,000 patients. In addition, the center is affiliated with a large internal medicine/nephrology practice that has a database in excess of 10,000 patients.

Quality Assurance

All studies are routinely monitored and reviewed by our in-house QA manager to assure compliance with the protocol. As part of the ongoing quality process, Coordinators meet monthly to discuss issues such as protocol execution, patient enrollment, adverse experiences, and internal processes.

All study Coordinators are Saf-T-Pak certified and one coordinator is CCRC certified.

HIPAA

Apex is fully compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the Final Privacy Rule. Apex has a written HIPAA Compliance Plan in place as well as a written Policy and Procedures document which is regularly reviewed by staff for compliance. Each patient is asked to review and sign the Apex Notice of Privacy.
